First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study compares low-glycemic index (GI) carbohydrates to standard whole grains in a Mediterranean diet for 40 adults with high triglycerides. The goal is to see if low-GI carbs improve a key marker of metabolic and cardiovascular risk. Participants will try both types of carbs in random order, without knowing which they are getting, to find out which is better for preventing diabetes and heart disease.
