Tiny steroid dose could help tame new arthritis flares

NCT ID NCT07252271

Summary

This study is testing if adding a very low daily dose of the steroid prednisolone to standard treatment helps people newly diagnosed with active rheumatoid arthritis. Over 12 weeks, 112 participants will receive either the steroid or a placebo pill, while also starting standard arthritis medications. Researchers will compare how well the disease is controlled and monitor for side effects.
