Could a tiny dose of radiation tame this skin cancer?
NCT ID NCT07310745
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a very low dose of radiation (4 Gy) can effectively control a rare, slow-growing type of skin lymphoma called primary indolent cutaneous B-cell lymphoma. Researchers will review records from 52 patients who received this low-dose treatment to see how long the cancer stays under control and what side effects occur. The goal is to find out if lower doses can work just as well as the standard higher doses, with fewer side effects.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
low-dose radiotherapy (4 Gy)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that a much lower radiation dose is enough to control this rare skin lymphoma, reducing side effects while still being effective.
What could go wrong
This is a small, retrospective study (52 people), not a large controlled trial. The low dose may not work as well as standard higher doses, and the results may not apply to all patients.
