Can tiny daily doses of nuts help toddlers outgrow their allergies?
NCT ID NCT05049512
Summary
This study tested if a treatment called oral immunotherapy could help toddlers with nut allergies. Children aged 18-36 months who were allergic to two types of nuts were either given tiny, controlled daily doses of nut flour or told to strictly avoid nuts for 18 months. The goal was to see if the daily dose treatment could safely help more children become less reactive to nuts compared to those who just avoided them.
