First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study aims to compare how much people like (abuse potential) and how well they tolerate pain after taking low-dose buprenorphine versus a common opioid, oxycodone. 120 healthy adults aged 18-65 will receive different doses of buprenorphine, oxycodone, or placebo in separate sessions. The goal is to see if buprenorphine provides similar pain relief with less risk of abuse.
