First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study aims to see if low-dose buprenorphine, a partial opioid, can provide similar pain relief to oxycodone but with less risk of abuse. Researchers will give 60 healthy adults different doses of buprenorphine, oxycodone, or a placebo, then measure pain response and drug liking. The goal is to find a safer alternative for pain management.
