Can 'Baby Doses' of common drugs stop breast cancer with fewer side effects?

NCT ID NCT06364267

Summary

This study is testing whether very low doses of two existing breast cancer drugs, exemestane and tamoxifen, can help prevent breast cancer in postmenopausal women at high risk for the disease. The main goal is to see which low-dose option has a better impact on women's quality of life and causes fewer side effects over 12 months. About 140 participants will be randomly assigned to take one of the two medications, and neither they nor their doctors will know which one they are taking.
