First seen Feb 24, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving a low dose of albumin (a natural protein) during stroke treatment can limit brain damage. About 100 adults with ischemic stroke who need a procedure to restore blood flow will receive either albumin or a saltwater placebo. Researchers will measure markers of brain protection and recovery over 90 days.
