First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tested a low-cost way to make platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from a patient's own blood to treat knee osteoarthritis. Twenty adults with mild to moderate knee arthritis received the injection. The goal was to see if this cheaper method works as well as standard PRP kits for reducing pain and improving knee function.
