At-Home HPV test could make cervical cancer screening cheaper and easier

NCT ID NCT05431699

Summary

This study is testing a new, low-cost HPV screening test called ScreenFire that women can use at home. It aims to see if this self-collected test works as well as the standard test done by a healthcare provider for detecting early signs of cervical cancer. The study involves 9,100 women in El Salvador, who will try both the new at-home test and the standard clinic test to compare the results.
