New hip block may keep leg strength while killing pain
NCT ID NCT06102811
First seen May 19, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether a low-concentration anesthetic injected near the hip can control pain after hip replacement surgery without weakening the leg muscles. Sixty adults having hip replacement received either a low or high concentration of the anesthetic. The goal was to see if the low dose provides similar pain relief while preserving quadriceps strength.
