Scientists track breath and blood to see how diets change your Body's fuel

NCT ID NCT07429058

Summary

This study aimed to understand how the body's metabolism changes when people eat fewer carbs and fewer calories. Researchers compared a low-carbohydrate diet to a standard diet in 30 healthy adults, first while eating normally and then while cutting about 500 calories a day. They closely measured things like breath chemicals, blood sugar, and body composition to see how the body adapts to using different fuels for energy.
