Summary

This study tested whether taking lotus seed capsules can improve nerve function, blood sugar control, and immune health in people with type 2 diabetes who have nerve damage in their hands and feet. Sixty adults took either a placebo or lotus seed capsules along with their regular diabetes medicine for three months. Researchers measured changes in body mass index, blood tests, and nerve function scores to see if the lotus seeds offered any benefit.
