Blood pressure drug may ease radiation scarring in breast cancer

Summary

This study tests whether losartan, a common blood pressure drug, can reduce scarring (fibrosis) in the breast and lung caused by radiation therapy in breast cancer patients. About 43 women who had breast surgery and need radiation will receive either losartan or a placebo. The goal is to see if losartan can lessen tissue damage and improve outcomes.
