Common blood pressure pill tested to speed recovery from devastating knee injuries
NCT ID NCT06933706
Summary
This study is testing if a short course of the blood pressure medication losartan can help people recover better after surgery for severe, multi-ligament knee injuries. The trial will involve 90 patients who will take either losartan or a placebo pill for 30 days after surgery. Researchers will measure if the medication helps people return to work or sports faster, improves knee motion and strength, and reduces inflammation in the year following surgery.
