New IVF drug schedule aims to boost egg count, cut costs

NCT ID NCT06701071

Summary

This study is testing whether taking the fertility drug Clomid for the entire IVF cycle (long protocol) works as well as taking it for just 5 days (short protocol) in women with low egg reserve. Researchers want to see if the longer schedule helps retrieve more mature eggs while reducing the need for an extra, costly injection. About 120 women will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatment plans.
