New IVF protocol could boost egg yield and cut costs for women with low ovarian reserve
NCT ID NCT06701071
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking Clomid for a longer time (instead of the usual 5 days) helps women with low egg reserve produce more mature eggs during IVF. The longer protocol aims to increase egg numbers while reducing the need for expensive injections. About 120 women will be randomly assigned to either the long or short Clomid group, and researchers will count the mature eggs retrieved.
