15-Year watch begins for gene therapy recipients
NCT ID NCT06882317
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study follows 40 people who previously received CLBR001, a gene-modified cell therapy, to monitor long-term safety over 15 years. No new treatment is given. Researchers will track side effects and check for any lingering virus from the gene therapy. The goal is to understand delayed risks, not to test a new treatment.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
CLBR001 (a gene-modified immune cell therapy)
What this could lead to
If successful, this study will provide crucial safety data on gene-modified cell therapies, helping to guide future treatments.
What could go wrong
This is an observational follow-up study, not a treatment trial. It cannot prove the therapy works or is safe for new patients.
