First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study follows up on 18 people with retinitis pigmentosa who received umbilical cord stem cell transplants 5 years ago. Researchers will check vision, eye structure, and overall safety to see how the treatment held up over time. The goal is to understand long-term risks, not to test a new cure.
