First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study follows about 400 people with certain blood cancers (like essential thrombocythemia and myelofibrosis) who are already taking bomedemstat and benefiting from it. The goal is to collect more information on the drug's long-term safety and how well it controls the disease over time. Participants will continue taking bomedemstat capsules and be monitored for side effects and response.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to
If successful, this study could confirm that bomedemstat is safe and effective for long-term use in controlling certain blood cancers.
What could go wrong
This is an extension study with no hypothesis testing, so it won't prove the drug works. Side effects are possible, and results may not apply to new patients.
