First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested a procedure called stellate ganglion block and bilateral cardiac sympathetic denervation in 18 adults with life-threatening heart rhythm storms that did not respond to standard treatments. The goal was to reduce dangerous heart rhythms and shocks from implanted defibrillators. The procedure aims to control the condition, not cure it, and patients may still need ongoing management.
