First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study follows 200 premature babies who had a serious gut infection called necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) to see how it affects their growth, eating habits, and overall health by the time they turn 5. Researchers will check for problems like food allergies, poor growth, reflux, and the need for extra surgeries. The goal is to better understand long-term risks so doctors can catch and treat these issues early.
