Scientists track patients years after pioneering HIV gene treatment
NCT ID NCT02390297
Summary
This study is checking for any long-term safety problems in people who previously received an experimental gene therapy for HIV. The therapy involved modifying a person's own blood cells to help them fight the virus. Researchers are following 11 participants to see if any delayed side effects appear years after the treatment.
