Summary
This study tested the safety and effectiveness of adding the drug canagliflozin to existing GLP-1 therapy for one year in Japanese adults with type 2 diabetes. It involved 71 participants whose blood sugar was not well controlled on their current treatment. The goal was to see if this combination could safely improve long-term blood sugar levels, weight, and blood pressure.
