Can a pulsed antibiotic strategy tame chronic lung infections?

NCT ID NCT07274020

Summary

This study aims to see if giving the antibiotic moxifloxacin in repeated, short courses is better than standard care at preventing lung infection flare-ups in adults with bronchiectasis. It will enroll 140 adults who have had at least two flare-ups in the past year. The main goal is to see if this intermittent antibiotic approach safely reduces how often these debilitating infections occur.
