New injection aims to block pain for days after cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT07458295

Summary

This study is testing a new, long-acting numbing medicine for pain relief after minimally invasive surgery for gynecologic cancers. Researchers want to see if an injection near the abdominal wall can provide better, longer-lasting pain control than standard options, which could help patients use fewer opioid painkillers and recover more comfortably. The trial will involve about 110 patients who are randomly assigned to receive either the new long-acting injection or a standard pain control method.
