Nerve block injection trial offers hope for long COVID sufferers
NCT ID NCT07374562
Summary
This study is testing if a single injection near nerves in the neck, called a stellate ganglion block, can help reduce persistent symptoms of long COVID like severe fatigue, brain fog, and shortness of breath. About 40 adults with long COVID will be randomly assigned to receive either the real nerve block or a placebo saline injection. Researchers will follow participants for 26 weeks to see if the treatment improves their daily function and quality of life.
