Scientists probe hidden link between long COVID, 'Brain Fog,' and Body's inflammation

NCT ID NCT06027255

Summary

This study aims to understand why some people develop long-lasting symptoms like fatigue, racing heart, and 'brain fog' after COVID-19, a condition often called Long COVID. Researchers will compare 150 people across three groups: those with Long COVID and POTS, those with POTS not linked to COVID, and people who recovered from COVID without lasting issues. The main goal is to see if a less active 'rest-and-digest' nervous system is connected to ongoing inflammation in the body, which might explain these debilitating symptoms.
