HIV shots for kids: study tests Game-Changing monthly injections

NCT ID NCT03497676

Summary

This study tested long-acting injectable HIV medications in children and teens who already had their virus under control with daily pills. The goal was to see if getting shots every month or two months was safe, worked as well as the pills, and was acceptable to young people. Researchers wanted to find the right doses and understand how the body processes these injectable drugs.
