Can a simple social prescription cure senior loneliness after hospital?

NCT ID NCT06616935

Summary

This small study explored whether routinely connecting older adults to local community groups after a short-term rehab program could help reduce feelings of loneliness. Researchers worked with 30 seniors who had recently finished rehab and were at risk of loneliness, comparing in-person community activities to online group sessions. The main goal was to see if this approach was practical and showed promise for a larger future trial.
