Could loneliness speed up dementia? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07211945

Summary

This study aims to find out if feeling lonely increases the risk of developing dementia in older adults who already have mild memory problems. Researchers will follow 300 participants aged 70 and older for one year to see who progresses from mild cognitive impairment to dementia. The goal is to understand this connection better, not to test a treatment.
