Liver transplant study for colon cancer patients withdrawn before it began

NCT ID NCT05175092

First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study aimed to see if a living donor liver transplant, given after standard chemotherapy, could help people with colon cancer that spread to the liver and could not be removed by surgery. It planned to enroll 25 donor-recipient pairs (50 people total) and follow recipients for up to 5 years. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled, so no results are available.
