First seen Jun 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks back at data from 562 people who received a liver transplant for liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) to develop a better way to decide who will truly benefit. Current methods mainly consider tumor size and blood tests, but this research will also include factors like tumor shrinkage from prior treatments and certain tumor features. The goal is to create a more accurate score to improve patient selection and transplant success.
