Radical transplant approach offers hope for incurable liver cancer

NCT ID NCT06140134

Summary

This study is testing whether liver transplantation can help people with advanced bile duct cancer that can't be surgically removed. Patients first receive chemotherapy to control their cancer for at least 6 months, then receive a liver transplant if they remain eligible. The goal is to see if this two-step approach helps patients live longer compared to chemotherapy alone.
