New study probes hidden risk of fatty liver after transplant

NCT ID NCT07204600

Summary

This study aims to find out how often a type of fatty liver disease (MASLD) develops for the first time in people after they receive a liver transplant. Researchers will enroll 100 adult liver transplant recipients to measure how common this is and identify the risk factors, like weight or diabetes, that might cause it. The goal is to gather knowledge to help manage the health of transplant patients in the future.
