Summary
This study aims to see which of two drugs, terlipressin or somatostatin, works better to lower high blood pressure in the liver's main vein during a living donor liver transplant. Lowering this pressure may reduce dangerous bleeding and the need for blood transfusions during the complex surgery. The trial will involve 50 patients with severe liver disease and will closely monitor their condition during and after the transplant procedure.
