New hope for inoperable bile duct cancer: a path to transplant

NCT ID NCT07471165

Summary

This study is testing a multi-step treatment plan for people with a type of advanced bile duct cancer that cannot be surgically removed. The goal is to use a combination of immunotherapy, chemotherapy, and radiation to shrink the tumor and control the disease so that patients can become eligible for a liver transplant. After the transplant, patients will take standard anti-rejection medications and additional chemotherapy to try to prevent the cancer from coming back.
