Trial tests aggressive surgery for advanced colon cancer

NCT ID NCT02738606

Summary

This study aimed to see if removing liver tumors through surgery, in addition to standard chemotherapy, helps patients with colorectal cancer that has spread to both the liver and lungs. It compared two groups: one received surgery plus chemo, and the other received chemo alone. The goal was to see if the combined approach improved survival for people with this advanced stage of cancer.
