New device aims to control dangerous liver complications

Summary

This study is collecting information on a medical device called the GORE VIATORR TIPS Endoprosthesis. The device is already approved and is used to treat serious complications of advanced liver disease, like internal bleeding and fluid buildup in the abdomen. Researchers will follow about 152 patients for 2 years after they receive the device as part of their standard care to see how well and how safely it works in everyday medical practice.
