New injection aims to shield liver during cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT07150624

Summary

This study is testing whether a specific injection can help protect the liver from damage during and after surgery to remove part of the liver for cancer. Researchers will compare two groups: one receives the liver-protecting injection before surgery and a combination of injections after, while the other receives only a standard injection after surgery. The goal is to see if the new approach helps patients' liver function recover faster and more safely after the operation.
