New injection aims to shield liver during cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT07150624

Summary

This study is testing whether a specific injection can help protect the liver during and after surgery to remove liver cancer. Researchers want to see if giving this injection before surgery, and then alongside another standard medication after surgery, helps patients' liver function recover better than just getting the standard medication after surgery. The trial will involve 96 patients undergoing a specific type of keyhole liver surgery.
