Scientists peek inside liver to see how chemo wakes up immune cells against eye cancer

NCT ID NCT07364474

First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at how the liver's immune system responds to a chemotherapy drug called melphalan, given directly to the liver through a special procedure. Ten adults with eye melanoma that has spread to the liver will have small tumor samples taken before and after treatment to measure changes in immune cells. The goal is to learn more about the liver's immune environment, not to test a new cure.
