Italian doctors track new methods to prepare livers for cancer surgery
NCT ID NCT07445412
Summary
This study aims to understand and describe how Italian hospitals use different techniques to make a patient's healthy liver tissue grow larger before surgery to remove liver tumors. It will observe 2,000 adult patients with liver cancer or other tumors who need this preparatory treatment. The research will track which techniques are used, how well they work, and how patients fare during and after surgery for up to five years.
