First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study aims to see if a special liver function test (dual cholate clearance) can accurately measure liver health in people with Fontan circulation, a condition where blood flow to the liver is often impaired. Researchers will compare results from Fontan patients, people with right heart failure, and healthy volunteers. Participants will have the test and a heart MRI at the start, then be followed for 5 years to track any heart or liver problems.
