Scientists test COVID drug safety in people with liver issues

NCT ID NCT06568861

Summary

This study tested a potential oral medicine for COVID-19, called ALG-097558, to see how it is processed in the body of people with moderate liver problems compared to healthy people. Sixteen participants took the drug twice a day. The main goal was to measure the drug's levels in the blood and check for safety, not to treat COVID-19.
