Home liver fat tracking shows promise for fatty liver disease

NCT ID NCT05754385

First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 05, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tested whether giving people with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) a device to monitor their liver fat at home could motivate them to lose more liver fat through diet and exercise. Ten adults with NAFLD used the device and received standard care. The goal was to see if home monitoring leads to greater fat reduction compared to standard care alone.
