Experimental liver cell injection aims to save lives

NCT ID NCT07276568

Summary

This early-stage study will test whether injecting lab-grown liver-like cells into the abdominal muscle is safe for people with severe liver failure. Researchers will enroll 24 patients to check for side effects and see if the treatment helps improve survival. The main goal is to understand safety risks before testing whether the cells can actually help the liver work better.
