Digital eye on old biopsies aims to predict liver crises

NCT ID NCT06493253

Summary

This study looked back at old medical records and liver biopsy images from over 1,500 patients with fatty liver disease (MASLD). Researchers tested whether a new computer analysis tool, called FibroNest, could better predict which patients would later develop serious liver problems. They compared this digital tool's predictions to standard methods doctors currently use.
