Cancer survivors face hidden liver threat: new study seeks answers
NCT ID NCT07280143
Summary
This study aims to understand how common a serious fatty liver disease (MASLD) is in people who survived breast or colorectal cancer 5-10 years ago. Researchers will use newer, less painful scanning methods instead of a biopsy to check 200 participants for signs of liver damage. The goal is to find better ways to spot this often-missed condition early in cancer survivors so they can get timely care.
