Can a quick scan and chat prevent liver damage?
NCT ID NCT06924281
Summary
This study tested two different counseling approaches to help prevent liver disease in adults at risk due to alcohol use and weight. Researchers compared standard advice to an enhanced method that included a painless liver scan (Fibroscan®) to show participants their liver health. The goal was to see if the scan made the counseling more effective at encouraging healthier lifestyle choices.
